As part of our #10for10 campaign and ongoing support for our charity of choice Kidscan, we’re supporting patient ambassador Charlotte Jennings in her fundraising challenge by creating her a personalised blog platform.
In 2017 Charlotte joined Kidscan, helping not only to raise money, but to increase awareness around the issues associated with childhood cancer, and the lack of current treatments available. Read Charlotte’s full story here.
With just over three weeks until her ‘Sweet 16th Charity Night’ we couldn’t think of a better birthday present or time to unveil her very own blog platform where she will be able to document her ongoing challenge and fundraising activities for Kidscan UK and Manchester Children’s Hospital Cancer Ward.
As we’re actively involved in the initiative SK for Kidscan we wanted to help in the way that we know best, which was by supporting Charlotte digitally!
Over the next few weeks, we will be bringing Charlotte’s vision for her very own blog to life. From her very own Charlotte’s Challenge branding to plugging in the bespoke eTapestry integration form for the donation function which we created for Kidscan, Charlotte will be able to pull all her fundraising capabilities together in one simple to use platform.
When we met Charlotte, we quickly found that Facebook had been the one thing that kept her going throughout her experience; From her time in isolation when it was the only way she could keep in contact with friends to using it to document how it truly feels for a child to deal with cancer on a day-to day basis, it was the one tool that helped represent her feelings, thoughts and journey. With this in mind alongside creating Charlotte’s blog we are also going to be providing some social media training sessions to show her how she can really maximise the impact of her fundraising and spread her message as far and wide as possible.
“Cancer treatments have ruined my body, but we can help transform lives of future patients. So they can survive and thrive better than I’ll be able to! I can’t do this alone, I need your help, we need to unite together and fund vital research, so we can beat childhood cancer once and for all” Charlotte Jennings, Kidscan Patient Ambassador.
Keep a lookout for the unveiling of Charlotte’s blog soon!
