Colour palette can be equally as important to the success of a logo. Different colours can help customers identify your position within the market. Are you aiming for the ‘super elite’ or are you marketing a budget product? Does it distinguish you as a trustworthy brand or as a company with prestige? All things to consider.
One of the most interesting points is how often people assume that their logo must be relevant to the service that they offer. That’s not true! Whether you sell cars or handbags, you don’t need to have the product in the logo. Look at IBM, Apple, Coca-Cola, and McDonalds – all examples of great logo designs with absolutely no reference to the products they sell. Your logo is the identity of your business and can be anything you wish.
