Background

I’ve been working in web development since around 2015/2016, starting out as a Junior Developer at a web agency where I quickly got stuck into the world of front-end development. That early experience gave me a solid foundation in building websites and understanding how design and code come together to create great user experiences.

After that, I spent a short time at a software development company where I expanded my skillset into back-end development. This helped me better understand the technical side of how websites and applications work behind the scenes — from databases to server-side logic.

In the summer of 2018, I joined Platform 81 and have been here ever since, continuing to grow my experience across both development and project delivery.

Role at Platform 81

As Web Manager, I lead our development team in delivering high-quality, bespoke web solutions for our clients. My role involves scoping projects, planning development work, and getting hands-on with building the sites and systems we deliver.

We work closely with both new and long-term clients, supporting them with ongoing development, improvements, and new features. I’m also always looking at ways we can improve our processes, tools, and technologies to keep the team working efficiently and ensure we’re building solutions using modern best practices.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, I’m a big fan of sport. I’ve been a member of my local boxing club for over 10 years, and I also enjoy playing football and other sports when I can. Weekends are usually spent watching sports, socialising with friends and getting out for walks with my two dogs.
