Platform81 were approached by Gymfinity Kids to help develop a brand and marketing strategy, ready for the effective launch of their flagship site in 2017.
The brief included a range of elements such as a brand pack, fully functional website, offline marketing materials and ongoing digital marketing activity in the form social media, paid search and website optimisation to promote the brand. Two years on, six successful club launches and the addition of a brand new Nursery brand, our ongoing relationship with Gymfinity only continues to grow with 3 more clubs expected to open by 2020.
The design and build of the website was based on the potential of future Gymfinity sites being added to the website with ease. The website was custom designed to appeal to the target audience with strong calls-to-action, imagery and video content. The website was built on WordPress CMS to ensure simplicity for ongoing updates and features an integrated, bespoke booking system.
Working closely with our UX and development teams we were able to spec the site to complement a full-scale SEO campaign. Organic search delivers over 40% of the site’s traffic and is the most prominent converting channel.
We utilised Google Search and Display Networks to attract audiences searching for brand specific keywords, and relevant generic keywords within a set radius. To capture users at an earlier stage of their search, we used Display Network and ran a Remarketing campaign, this was aimed at attracting visitors who had previously visited and shown interest.
To increase awareness on Social Media we create ongoing targeted Paid Social Media campaigns across Facebook and Instagram with a continued focus on new member acquisition through free trial bookings. Utilising the Facebook Pixel we are also able to retarget visitors to the site to encourage return visits, one-off bookings of holiday camps or birthday parties or membership signup throughout the geographical areas the clubs are based in.
As the brand has grown so has it’s image as we revisited the original logo design and refreshed the look and feel in line with the website developments. As part of our ongoing work Platform81 produce: All Digital Marketing Assets, POS Posters, Outdoor Promo Activity, Flyers and Newspaper Wraps
The digital marketing strategy for Gymfinity Kids has focused around new member acquisition, through promotion of a free trial. Since the launch of the website and digital marketing campaign, Gymfinity Kids has exceeded target with new member acquisitions. The successful launch of the Leeds Bramley site, led to the opening of Colchester in 2017 and a total of 6 six sites by the end of 2019.
