About

Umbrella Health provides free confidential sexual health services in Birmingham and Solihull. We were tasked with developing a technically advanced, robust website that has long-term flexibility and can grow as with the organisation. The website had to be designed and developed to AA accessibility standards and with a strong focus on mobile-first UX. This was a huge consideration when the project planning commenced, due to the scale and size of the website. Security of the site would be paramount due to it falling under the NHS brand.

The Umbrella sexual health website is designed with a clean and intuitive interface, adhering to AA accessibility standards for inclusivity. The user-centric design ensures easy navigation and quick access to relevant services. A simple yet comprehensive layout enables visitors to find resources, information, and services effortlessly. We prioritize clear call-to-actions, streamlined menus, and a search function for efficient information retrieval. The Results

The end result was a fast-loading, clean website which delivers a mobile-first solution. Page rankings and traffic have all dramatically increased due to the speed increase of the website which has led to helping support more people in and around Birmingham. Our mobile responsive layout code gave a great user experience from small-screen mobile phones to high-resolution desktop computers.

"We found Platform81 to be a very friendly, approachable and flexible agency. Gary, Caroline and David were very happy to talk through our requirements at any time, and were always adapting to deliver the project to our precise specification during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic"
