Returning to the office means new staff, and we’re very happy to introduce our new Business Development Manager, Mikey.
Office: Converted what was the spare bedroom into my office at the start of the pandemic
Loves: Family time, my wife (Jodie) and daughter (Keira) – socialising and football. (Leeds United)
How long have you been working at Platform81? Since September 6th
Quickly sum up a day in the life: Since the pandemic, a typical day in the life of myself if waking up around 7/7.30am, going through the usual routine of getting dressed & ready, etc, then taking my daughter to school (enjoying the school run) – this was something prior to the pandemic I wasn’t able to do & my wife’s working hours were different at the time. Throughout the day, I spend my time analysing opportunities from a working perspective to look at where I can bring on new business to P81, do the school run later in the day & then back to the office to work through the rest of the day.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working at Platform81?: I have been in the digital marketing space best part of 10 years now so I would imagine I would be still within this space but for a different company
Dream holiday: My dream holiday would be around the world cruise however, this will not happen as my wife gets travel sick & it’s hard enough getting her on a plane. Getting to Florida again would be a close second, take my daughter and make memories. A personal non-family dream holiday would be Las Vegas and whilst there go watch Boxing
Favourite food?: Chicken and Pizza
Talk us through your perfect night out: Out with the lads, having a laugh drinking, silly dancing generally having fun.
Dream date? (person or location): I would love to take my wife to one of Gordon Ramsey’s restaurants ideally on our wedding anniversary. One of the few things we have in common is we enjoy his TV shows and would love to eat at one of his places or better yet have a meal cooked for us by him. Although he would probably see me as too fussy haha.
Describe yourself in 3 words: Talkative, Outgoing, Caring
Tell us about your most embarrassing moment?: When I proposed to my wife in our favourite Chinese restaurant in Leeds, when I got down on one knee, I almost sent the waitress flying with plates everywhere as I nearly tripped her up.
Finally, what’s your guilty pleasure?: Cheesy 80s music probably
