Platform81 was just one of many great businesses at this morning’s Stockport Economic Breakfast.

It was really encouraging to see so many people in attendance, all interested in the development of Stockport and the future of it’s business community.

The event was hosted by Orbit Developments and MEN head of business Adam Jupp with panellists including Stockport vice president Brian Bradley of Clarke Nicklin, Peter Larkham, HR Director at CDL, Helen White, founder of Marketing Stockport, John Cook, head of employment at SAS Daniels, and Stockport council chief executive Eamonn Boylan.

We came out with the feeling that now is a really exciting time to be a business in Stockport, with a number of new developments underway and investments being made to help develop the town even further.

It was also great to hear the selfless and collaborative attitude of the business community highlighted. Since we started our business 8 years ago, much of our work has come from building relationships with local businesses in the Stockport area and we know all too well how willing other Stopfordians are to lend a helping hand.

We’re now just waiting for a great SK venue to open to keep the enthusiasm going after work! Until then, our door is always open & our kettle is always boiled for anyone wishing to pop over a brew and a chat (and sometimes a biscuit if you get here early enough…)

Platform81 are proud to be a Stockport business and as we keep investing our time in the community, we’ve found that we keep getting more back from them. Keep up the good work Stockport! Great day today.
